Milton Bradley vs. Umpires

June 2, 2009

Recently the beloved Milton Bradley of the Chicago Cubs has been in the news.

Surprise surprise.

Here, he’s complaining about umpires being out to get him.

“What am I supposed to do? You lead the American League in OPS, and two years in the top three in the league in on-base percentage. All of a sudden now, I come to Chicago and I can’t see the ball no more? I don’t know a strike from a ball?

– Milton

What a glorious quote.

He thinks it began when he argued with one umpire, and the others are plotting against him because he disagreed with their colleague.

Top notch conspiracy theory Milton.

That also coming from the Milton Bradley that struck out on two pitches.

I think he’s trying to go with a “me against the world” mentality, and sure hope it works for him.

I loved him in Texas.

Besides, that mentality has worked for everyone from the 1980 Miracle Team to Britney Spears + Madonna.

Maybe Milton “Monopoly” Bradley should shave his head with Britney.

Or make out with Lou Piniella.

I would NOT pay to see that.

I’d pay to see him write a song with some upires, thats wassup.

all that's missing is milton. The 3 of them could talk it out in close quarters

Milton also is the man who tore his ACL arguing with an UMPIRE over a call at first base.

Maybe he is trying to instigate with them.

Whatever, he’s a nut.

That’s why you love him.

Plus he created america’s game, monopoly.

Baseball is Back

April 5, 2009

Yes, as we have all known for the past 5 months, baseball begins today.

April 5th, 2009.

It’s been on my calendar since i was born.

It seems miraculous that i put something 16 years ahead on a non-created calendar when i was just an infant.

but i can do that, and i did.

I will give you the teams to watch this year.

Rays, Red Sox(unfortunately), and Yankees.

Cubs, Mets, Phillies, Dodgers.

My expert opinion is that it will be Rays and Dodgers in the World Series.

Or as i stated earlier, what should be called the American Series.

But that’s another post, and it reminds me of Adam Dunn, which isn’t good.

The Rays still have an extremely young pitching staff, and have all the key pieces from last year and really could only go up.

The Red Sox are always relevant, so of course they will be in the running.

And the Yankees, after spending more money than the US has in the last 2 centuries, will actually be good.

Chemistry? Yeah right.

Yanks are all about a bunch of superstars not having chemistry, and somehow don’t suck.

In the NL, the cubs still have a good team after a letdown season last year.

The Phillies are still about as good as last year, and their season and my fantasy team rides on Cole Hamels’ arm.

The Mets added K-rod to hopefully solve their bullpen woes, so if he shows up like last year, they will be beastly.

And the Dodgers were white-hot at the end of last year, and still have Manny somehow, so they will be one of the best in the league.

If only San Fran had some offense, their beastly pitching staff wouldn’t be alone and carrying the team.

Thank you Tim Lincecum.

America does love BJ Upton, so i just had to include a picture for you guys.

Rays will win it all.
